A fixture on Jefferson City’s skyline is coming down, over one – hundred years after it first went up. The Missouri American Water water tower was built in 1890 and has sat unused for years. Demolition work should wrap up by Christmas Eve. Brooks Street is partially shut down between West Main and West High near the Missouri River Bridge.
