Jefferson City leaders okay a major subdivision that has some neighbors up in arms

The neighbors aren’t crazy about the idea, but the Jefferson City Council signs off on a new subdivision. Councilmen okayed a zoning change for about 80 – acres so about 200 homes can be built in the Walnut Hills complex along Route C. Residents complain that the roads won’t handle the additional traffic. City leaders say Jefferson City needs more housing.
