KWOS is highlighting an outstanding local high school athlete each week, brought to you by MU Health Care Sports Medicine. This week we feature Jefferson City forward Tyler Lunceford.

The junior scored 26 points to lead Jefferson City in a 60-47 win over Camdenton Friday night. Lunceford came right back on Saturday afternoon and scored a game-high 30 points as Jefferson City won its fourth game in a row, a 67-42 win over Hannibal in the Central Bank Shootout. In the third quarter of that game, Lunceford scored all of Jefferson City's 13 points.

"Tyler is cornerstone for us on both ends of the floor leads us in scoring averaging 18.7 PPG and may play a bigger role on the defensive end averaging 8.5 RPG and 1.2 Blocks a game. His ability to handle the ball and attack the rim at his size has caused some matchup issues for opponents," said Jefferson City Head Basketball Coach Ethan Williams.

Jefferson City is back in action on Thursday when they host Columbia Rock Bridge in Central Missouri Activities Conference action.
