Earning the #8 spot means Veterans United Home Loans has again established itself as one of the best companies to work for nationwide.  Veterans United director of culture Ian Franz tells 939 the Eagle that it’s a big honor:

”We are being recognized on this national list alongside companies that I mean we’ve all heard of. Like we’ve done business with them, we’ve stayed at their hotels. Like it feels really cool that someone is taking notice of like just what we’re doing on the daily,” Mr. Franz says.

Veterans United is the highest-ranked Missouri-based company to make the rankings. More than 2,900 people work at Veterans United between Columbia and Jefferson City.

Mr. Franz says VU employees deliver results with integrity. He also says the companies that care list is very competitive. He says imagine having 4,500 people in a boat rowing in whatever direction they want:

“And then trying to get all 4,500 of those people to be rowing in the same direction. And then to be recognized as like one of the boats that’s going the fastest or whatever,” says Mr. Franz.

VU was founded in 2002 and now has 4,900 employees nationwide, with offices in 20 states.
