A single mother with two young daughters in Columbia now has a dependable vehicle to get to work and around town, thanks to the generosity of Gerber Collision and Glass in Columbia and several other shops.

Cirrie Sharp works at Job Point. Gerber Collision and Glass Columbia general manager John Koonce tells 939 the Eagle that Ms. Sharp has a 2021 Nissan Altima:

“Allstate had this car donated and we had the pleasure of repairing and you know fixing the vehicle up and making sure it’s road ready. And it’s been a blast,” Mr. Koonce says.

Columbia’s Expert Glass donated the windshield and Machens Toyota and Nissan donated parts. JC Auto also donated parts. The car was presented right before Christmas and Koonce says this means everything to the woman and her children and to the employees at various companies who worked on the vehicle.

Mr. Koonce says while his crew did a great job repairing the vehicle, they had help from the other companies:

“It wasn’t just us here at Gerber. Obviously we had donated parts … we’ve had a windshield donated so there’s several vendors local to Columbia here that have also donated parts,” he says.

Mr. Koonce thanks all of the companies who made donations and helped with repairs, saying it was a blast. Santa Claus also made a trip from the North Pole to attend the vehicle presentation.
