A Columbia native who stepped down as the FBI’s deputy director last week will speak Tuesday evening at the Boone County GOP’s annual chili supper at Columbia’s American Legion.

Former FBI deputy director and former Missouri attorney general Andrew Bailey tells 939 the Eagle’s “Wake Up Missouri” that he’s a public servant and not a politician and is not a candidate for public office:
“But what I am going to do is listen to the people of the state of Missouri and whatever is in my future is going to be consistent with the Show-Me State values as expressed by the people of this state,” Mr. Bailey tells listeners.
He grew up in Columbia, attending Fairview elementary, West Junior high and Rock Bridge high school.
Missouri Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick, Secretary of State Denny Hoskins and State Treasurer Vivek Malek are some of the other planned speakers Tuesday evening. Mr. Bailey tells “Wake Up Missouri” that he’s working to pass Amendment Three in November:
“That is permanently protect children from the gender mutilation experiment that we exposed through my investigation during my time as Missouri attorney general. We’ve got to end the dangerous late-term abortions,” he says.
Amendment Three would ban most abortions in Missouri. Tonight’s chili supper program is at Columbia’s American Legion hall: doors open at 5:30.
