Missouri’s largest business group is launching a complete transformation of its headquarters on Jefferson City’s East Capitol Avenue.
A ceremonial demolition took place this month. Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Kara Corches is excited:
“First complete transformation since it opened in 1977,” she says.
The Missouri Chamber headquarters has served as a hub for business advocacy and workforce development for almost five decades.
Construction crews will soon be starting a transformation of the Missouri Chamber headquarters on Jefferson City’s East Capitol Avenue. The transformation will create a modern home for Missouri’s business community with event space for 230 guests and workspaces for Missouri Chamber members from across the state. Chamber president Corches tells 939 the Eagle that they’re excited to be part of East Capitol Avenue’s revitalization:
“And we’re so proud to be part of the revitalization that (Jefferson City) Mayor Ron Fitzwater has started and had a great vision to,” Corches says.
The brand-new Matriarcha coffee shop/restaurant is nearby, and the Chamber’s new neighbors across the street are the Missouri Association of Counties. Korches emphasizes that economic development begins in local communities.
