The Missouri Tiger football team is now ranked, after Saturday’s thrilling come-from-behind 42-31 win over Kansas in the border showdown at Faurot Field in Columbia.

Mizzou is ranked #25 in the new Associated Press (AP) poll. Saturday’s game at Faurot was a sellout, and Mizzou fans wearing black and gold packed the Carnahan Quad for Friday’s Paul Finebaum show and Saturday’s “SEC Nation” show. Former Alabama star Roman Harper, a key member of “SEC Nation”, tells reporters that the fans make the show:

“You know we could just be another group of people collecting in front of some cameras. But it’s all about the fan engagement … it’s all about the fans and their excitement. And so for us to be here right now I think is what it’s all about,” Mr. Harper says.

The Mizzou-Kansas rivalry dates to 1891 and it’s the first time the two schools have played at Faurot since 2006. Mizzou football coach Eliah Drinkwitz appeared in-person for both Finebaum and “SEC Nation.” Roman Harper tells reporters that he’s impressed by Mizzou’s Columbia campus:

“A lot of people walking to class, which is a good thing. Not as many scooters as other places, but it’s really, really unique and I’ll continue to ride around and get more of a feel of it,” says Harper.

“SEC Nation” is hosted by Laura Rutledge along with Mr. Finebaum, Mr. Harper, Jordan Rodgers and former Heisman winner Tim Tebow.
