A man faces charges after being accused of stealing a purse and other items from an elderly woman at Jefferson City’s Wal Mart Supercenter. Investigators say Demetrius White is seen on surveillance video taking the items from the woman’s cart while he was parked next to her. Store workers told police the woman was confused as to what had happened. Police recovered the purse and a vacuum cleaner from White’s home.
