A jail manager convicted in the death of an inmate in her jail is asking the judge for a new trial. Former Cooper County Jail supervisor Lt. Robyn Pfieffer was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of inmate Brooke Bailey. She was found dead in her cell in 2024 from untreated complications of diabetes.
