Mid-Missouri has strong representation in “Rural Missouri” magazine awards

Several mid-Missouri establishments have earned first-place selections in various categories from readers of the popular “Rural Missouri” magazine.

Jefferson City’s Central Dairy wins first place for best dessert or ice cream. The ice cream parlor that was built in 1933 looks similar today. It’s a popular spot for mid-Missouri families, state lawmakers and for schoolchildren from all corners of Missouri who bus to Jefferson City for field trips.

Moberly’s Bubba’s Burger Bar and Egg Emporium wins first-place for best burger in Missouri. The Hubba Bubba is one of its most popular menu items, an open-faced double burger.

And Columbia’s Logboat Brewing wins first-place for best winery, brewery or distillery. The Fulton Café won a second-place award for best restaurant in Missouri.
