Missouri’s governor is encouraging you to support your local food bank by donating, volunteering and spreading the word on ways to take action.

Governor Mike Kehoe has ordered Missouri’s Capitol dome in Jefferson City to shine orange this morning through Wednesday’s sunrise to recognize September as hunger action month.

Kehoe says Missouri has six incredible food banks that are on the frontlines of fighting food insecurity. One of those is the Columbia-based Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri. The governor says more than one million Missourians rely on food provided by Feeding Missouri members annually.
