Missouri men’s hoops upsets #22 Tennessee 73-69

Dennis Gates’ Missouri Tiger men’s basketball team had a strong second half, coming-from-behind to upset #22 Tennessee 73-69 Tuesday evening at Mizzou Arena.

Missouri improves to 19-9 overall and 9-6 in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Mizzou trailed at halftime 29-26 but outscored the Volunteers 47-40 in the second half.

The Tigers were led by sophomore guard T.O. Barrett, who scored 28 points. Senior Mark Mitchell added 23 for Missouri. The Tigers’ final game of February is Saturday when they travel to Starkville to play Mississippi State at noon.
