Sold-out Faurot Field in Columbia will be rocking Saturday evening for the Mayor’s Cup matchup between #23 Missouri and the South Carolina Gamecocks.

The 3-0 Tigers are coming off last Saturday’s 52-10 win over Louisiana at Faurot. Mizzou is 3-0 for the third straight season and are 24-5 since the start of 2023. While the 2-1 Gamecocks aren’t ranked in the Associated Press (AP) college football poll, they are ranked #24 in the coaches poll. Carolina is led by star quarterback LaNorris Sellers and punt returner Vicari Swain, who has returned three punts for touchdowns.
Columbia Mayor Barbara Buffaloe is excited about the Mayor’s Cup and tells 939 the Eagle the mayor of the city that loses will give a piece of local art work to the winning mayor. She’ll see Columbia South Carolina Mayor Daniel Rickenmann later this month during the Chamber leadership visit to Columbia South Carolina.
