You have an opportunity Wednesday evening to view detailed maps and ask questions about the $441-million plan to rebuild and expand I-70 between mid-Missouri’s Rocheport and Columbia.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will host an open house from 5-7 pm at Midway Golf and Games. You can arrive at any time during that timeframe, because there is no formal presentation.

Columbia-based Emery Sapp and Sons (ESS) has been selected as the design-build contractor for the project. MoDOT expects construction to start this spring or summer with completion of this phase in late 2029. MoDOT says the $441-million project will rebuild I-70 between Rocheport and Columbia and will add a third lane in both directions.

ESS plans improvements to the I-70 interchanges at Stadium, the Business Loop, Providence, Rangeline and Highway 63. A dogbone interchange is planned at I-70 and Midway, along with new truck parking facilities.
