A bill designed to cut diversity, equity, and inclusion or DEI programs from city government is tabled by the Jefferson City Council.
The ordinance was sponsored by Ward 3 Councilman Scott Spencer and Ward 4’s Derrick Spicer.
Several councilmen argued about the bill at their Tuesday meeting. But as it now stands, Jefferson City does not have any DEI programs in place.
