M-U’s president is cautioning students as they return to Columbia for the fall semester. Mun Choi is telling students to stay away from some parts of downtown late at night. He singles out parts of Walnut between 8th and 10th Streets.
Choi has been a vocal critic of the safety situation after several fights and a fatal shooting downtown.
