Saturday’s Top-25 college football clash between Mizzou and Texas A&M is a record sellout

Faurot Field in Columbia will be jammed for Saturday afternoon’s showdown between #19 Missouri and #3 Texas A&M.

Memorial Stadium is sold out for the 19th straight time, breaking the previous record from 1974-1978.  The Missouri Tigers are 6-2, with two close heartbreaking losses to Alabama and Vanderbilt. Eliah Drinkwitz’s Tigers rank third nationally in time of possession. They also have the nation’s number five defense, giving up just 245 yards per game.

Mike Elko’s Aggies are 8-0 and 5-0 in the Southeastern Conference. A&M is 8-0 for the first time since 1992. They are led by star quarterback Marcel Reed, a Heisman candidate. He is just three touchdowns away from obtaining 50 touchdowns responsible for in a career. The Aggies also have one of the nation’s best kickers in Randy Bond, who has 68 career field goals.
