Solar power at a nuke plant?

Why would you need solar panels at the nuke plant? Ameren is asking the PSC to approve a solar farm next to the Callaway Nuclear Plant near Reform. But the utility might hear some opposition. Many Callaway Countians have pushed back against plans to bring ‘green’ energy to the area.
