Funeral services will be held Friday morning at Columbia’s Crossing church for the Stephens College nursing student who was killed in late September’s triple shooting downtown.
Stephens College says the family of Aiyanna Williams warmly invites all who were impacted by Aiyanna’s life to join them in honoring her memory. This morning’s service begins at 10 at the Crossing church near Grindstone Parkway, with burial to follow at Columbia cemetery. Stephens College president Dr. Shannon Lundeen has invited all teaching faculty at Stephens to cancel classes for today, because so many in the Stephens community plan to attend the services.
Boone County prosecutors have charged 23-year-old Misael Covarrubias of Florida with second degree murder in the case.
