These sub – zero temperatures may jack up your electric bill

This cold cold weather is putting a real strain on electric co-ops. Associated Electric Cooperative supplies power to the Three Rivers Co-op, which is in Cole and surrounding counties. During the last two days, they’ve asked customers in both co-ops to conserve energy by lowering their thermostats and unplugging nonessential devices. Their saying the extreme weather is placing maximum load on the electric grid.
