Tiger fans are hopeful of a victory in Saturday morning’s Top-15 clash between #8 Alabama and #14 Mizzou. The Crimson Tide have 18 national championships and 30 Southeastern Conference titles. They are 4-1. Mizzou has been outstanding: they’re 5-0 and have running back Ahmad Hardy, who leads the nation in rushing yards with 730. Mizzou also has the nation’s number two defense. Mizzou also leads the nation in time of possession.

Mizzou last beat Alabama 20-7 in September 1975 at Legion field in Birmingham. The Tide had won 22 straight regular season games. “Uncle Al” Onafrio coached that Tiger team, and Gallatin product Keith Morrissey had three sacks in the second half. You can hear Saturday’s game on the Central Bank Tiger Radio Network from Learfield on Zimmer’s KCMQ (FM 96.7), KTGR (FM 100.5 and AM 1580) and Newsradio 950 KWOS. Mike Kelly, Howard Richards and Chris Gervino have the call, with pregame at 9 am.

The “Paul Finebaum show” airs this afternoon from 2-6 pm on the SEC Network. “SEC Nation” airs live Saturday morning from 9-11 with host Laura Rutledge joined by Mr. Finebaum, Roman Harper, Jordan Rodgers and former Heisman winner Tim Tebow.
