Mizzou football coach Eliah Drinkwitz is praising his new contract, saying his family and he believe in the vision and leadership from university administrators and are happy to keep calling Columbia their home.

Mizzou Athletics has announced that Coach Drinkwitz has agreed to a new six-year contract with an average annual compensation of $10.75 million. The new contract runs through 2031 and was approved unanimously Wednesday by the UM Board of Curators.

Coach Drinkwitz thanks UM System President Dr. Mun Choi, the UM Board of Curators, athletic director Laird Veatch and Mizzou football’s donors and NIL (name, image and likeness) partners. Mizzou is currently working on the $250-million Memorial Stadium improvement project, which will be done in 2026.

UM Board of Curators chair Todd Graves praises Coach Drinkwitz, describing him as an invaluable leader for the University of Missouri. Chairman Graves also says Coach Drinkwitz has inspired Missourians across the state.
“We are fully invested in his vision for Mizzou Football and remain committed to supporting his continued leadership,” Chairman Graves says.
