911 phone service is now fully restored in Columbia, Boone County and across mid-Missouri.

Boone County Joint Communications says they and other 911 centers across the region experienced phone service interruptions Wednesday due to a Brightspeed outage. The Boone County Office of Emergency Management says the disruption was widespread and impacted 911 centers across Missouri.
Service was out for about five hours in Boone County, until Brightspeed technicians were able to repair the issue.
