Jefferson City Police detectives are investigating a body found in the Missouri River Friday afternoon.
Police say they received a report Friday about an individual floating face down near the Noren river access in north Jefferson City. Police chief Eric Wilde tells 939 the Eagle that nothing is confirmed yet on an identity. Chief Wilde tells us police are working leads right now.
Jefferson City firefighters launched a rescue boat at 3:34 Friday afternoon and located the body three minutes later.
