Good news this morning as Columbia Police have found a missing 75-year-old man who disappeared late Sunday night while walking his dog.
CPD spokesman Colin Imhoff tells 939 the Eagle that they’ve located 75-year-old Philip Walter McWhorter, who has been checked by medical and has been safely returned home. Columbia Police and fire responders searched all night for McWhorter, who suffers from a heart condition and had last been seen walking a dog near Providence and Green Meadows. McWhorter is new to the area and just moved here from Florida.
CPD says it received assistance during the search from Boone County Sheriff’s deputies and received multiple calls from the public that helped locate McWhorter. CPD thanks everyone who helped search and who provided information about the missing man.
