A convicted felon who has served time in prison for a 2018 shooting has been sentenced to 90 years in prison for a 2025 Columbia drive-by shooting.
27-year-old Kevin Buckner, who has ties to Ashland and Columbia, has been convicted of ten felony counts. The 2025 drive-by shooting happened at El Chaparral and Victoria.
Boone County Prosecutor Roger Johnson praises Columbia Police detectives for their investigation into the drive-by shooting. Prosecutor Johnson says Buckner was found in possession of what’s known as a “ghost gun”, an untraceable homemade firearm that lacks serial numbers to evade law enforcement tracking.
