A doctor from Ashland accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a home last week remains in the Boone County jail without bond this (Tuesday) morning.

Boone County prosecutors have charged 46-year-old Jeffrey Lynn Teeter with sodomy or attempted sodomy, domestic assault and two other felonies. Dr. Teeter is also accused of punching the woman in the head, slapping her and pointing a loaded pistol at her head. The Boone County Sheriff Department’s probable cause statement alleges that Teeter also put his hands over the woman’s nose and mouth.

The court documents describe Teeter as an emergency room physician at a hospital in Pettis County.
