While the Missouri Supreme Court has found Secretary of State Denny Hoskins (R) to be in civil contempt, the court has ruled that he has purged himself of that by directing the state’s local election authorities to use the 2022 congressional district maps.

The Missouri Supreme Court ordered Secretary Hoskins to appear in-person before them Thursday in Jefferson City, and he did. They say he violated the court’s injunction but that he later corrected his conduct by complying with the Missouri Supreme Court’s order.

The Missouri Supreme Court issued a 7-0 decision last Thursday that ordered Secretary Hoskins to use the 2022 congressional district map. The court says no fine will be imposed against Hoskins.
