*** UPDATE *** Name released in JCPD officer – involved shooting

It turns out the armed burglar shot and killed by Jefferson City police last week was a 53 – year old woman. Julie Knehans was shot by officers Friday afternoon at a Gordon Street home. The Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
