A weekend crash between a UTV and another vehicle in Miller County seriously injures both drivers.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has arrested the UTV driver, 23-year-old Carter Halley of Brumley, for felony driving while intoxicated and unlawfully operating a UTV on a highway.

The Patrol’s crash report says Sunday evening’s crash happened at about 7:15 on Route U in Miller County, when Halley was riding his UTV and made a left turn in front of a Ford Fusion driven by 26-year-old Taylor Gardner of Edgar Springs. The Patrol says Gardner crossed the center line to avoid the UTV, which struck her vehicle.

Halley was ejected and transported to University Hospital in Columbia by Mercy Air. Gardner was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach with serious injuries.
