Winter weather causes numerous issues in parts of mid-Missouri this weekend

While Friday night and Saturday’s heaviest snowfall was in northeast Missouri, the snow and cold temperatures caused numerous issues as well in mid-Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop F worked at least 30 crashes, none of which were fatal. They also assisted at least 65 stranded motorists. A tractor trailer crashed in snowy weather on eastbound I-70 east of Kingdom City on Saturday morning.

Hannibal received ten inches of snow on Saturday, while Palmyra had eight inches.
