*** UPDATE *** Boil order for some JCMO water customers

There’s a boil order in place for part of Jefferson City but the water is back on. Missouri American Water says two 12 – inch mains broke in the area south of Stadium yesterday. Helias High Schools cancelled classes and other schools, businesses and hospitals were without water. About 5500 customers were affected.

Water company officials say the boil order is precautionary.
