Former coach accused of cutting athlete’s hair is headed to court

A one – time Jefferson City coach is being sued. Alexander Whelan is accused of making his team hold down a middle school wrestler and forcibly cutting his hair. The incident happened back in 2017. Whelan hasn’t been employed with the Jefferson City  schools after he was let go following the case. School officials say his actions go against school policies.
