Boone County official dies

Boone County’s Office of Emergency Management Director dies unexpectedly. Tom Hurley was found dead at his Columbia home, according to Presiding Commissioner Dan Atwill.  Hurley had been with the department since 2016, and was a Boone County native.  He previously served as the emergency management coordinator for Eau Claire County, Wisconsin. County Commissioners announced his death yesterday (mon).
