Parolee looking at new drug charges after JCPD chase

A man who’s on parole for selling drugs could be headed back to prison after a chase with Jefferson City Police. Officers tried to pull over Joey Hampton yesterday (thur) afternoon on Route C. Hampton bailed from his SUV and ran inside Schulte’s IGA. Police say they ordered customers to the floor when they saw Hampton reached inside his pants, thinking he might have a gun. He was found with drugs on him.
