Mid-Missouri river port moves ahead

The Governor signs a bill deeding over 116 – acres of land for a Mid-Missouri river port. The Heartland Port Authority wants to build the barge port downstream from Jefferson City near the Algoa Prison. Cost estimates top $75 million but supporters say it could ultimately end up creating as many as 5000 related jobs.
