JCMO Civil War monument may be removed

It looks like the Sterling Price monument on Moreau Drive may be coming down. The marker denotes where the Confederate general decided not to attack Jefferson City and turned his troops around during the Civil War. Two city commissions back a call to remove the monument that has stood since the 1930’s. The full Jefferson City Council would have to approve the action.
