Virus puts a strain on JCMO hospitals

Both Capital Region Medical Center and St. Mary’s Hospital say COVID-19 is taking a toll on their facilities. St. Mary’s says their ICU was over capacity for several days this week. Capital Region officials say, while they still have patient space, staff has been stretched to their limits.

Cases continue to mount in Cole County. Seven new deaths were reported this week. Most of those cases were residents of long term care facilities.
