No early school dismissals .. for now

Earlier dismissals for Jefferson City school students won’t happen next school year. The board this week decided not to approve 70 – minute early dismissals for most Mondays. Staff says the move would have decreased student in – seat time by about 2 – percent. But it would open up more time for teacher development training. The full board will revisit the plan at their next meeting.
