Arrests after Columbia human trafficking bust

Local authorities and the state attorney general’s office says they rescued several human trafficking victims at Columbia’s Holiday Inn East hotel over the weekend. Mid-Missouri advocate Nanette Ward says human trafficking is the fastest-growing criminal enterprise in the world. Even your neighbors could be used for sex or cheap labor.

Authorities say they rescued nine trafficking victims at that Columbia hotel last weekend. Two suspects were arrested.
