More pay for JCPD cops

Jefferson City councilmen okay a pay hike for the city’s police officers. The new pay plan will start officers at $46,000 a year and include a two and a half percent increase with each pay grade. Jefferson City, like many other departments, has had a hard time recruiting and keeping officers.
