Lawsuit over an athlete’s forced haircut returns to Cole courtroom

An appeals court sends a case involving a Jefferson City middle schooler back to the Cole County Courthouse. Joey Huerta and his mother sued the JC schools after a wrestling coach forced him to cut his hair back in 2017. The suit contends options were made for female wrestlers with long hair but not for the boys. The coach no longer works for the district.
