Pettis County is destroyed by a lightning strike

An historic Mid – Missouri church burns. Tuesday, a bolt of lightning hit the steeple of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Chapel in Bahner in Pettis County. Fire crews weren’t able to save the church. It was built in 1883.
