Death penalty on the table in Hermann cop killing

The prosecutor will ask for the death penalty for a man charged with gunning down a Hermann police officer and wounding another last spring.

Kenneth Lee Simpson is accused of shooting and killing Sgt. Mason Griffith and wounding Officer Adam Sullentrup in March inside the Casey’s in Hermann. He’s being held without bond.
