Drought continues to be a real headache for farmers

Even Missouri’s Director of Agriculture has been struggling with the drought. While Chris Chinn has had a good crop of soybeans and corn to feed her hogs, her cattle herd has been a different story trying to find hay.

Mid – Missouri is still coping with the drought that started in 2022. Over 80 – percent of farmland in the state is in moderate or abnormally dry conditions.
