JCMO child hit by a car

A seven-year-old from Jefferson City escaped serious injury on Tuesday after being struck by a car. According to Jefferson City police, the youngster ran onto Jackson Street about 3 p.m. near Community Park and was hit by a northbound vehicle.  The child was transported to the hospital by EMS with minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle, 38-yar-old Dominique Harrison of Jefferson City was not injured.
