JCMO man charged in violent domestic assault

A Jefferson City man faces charges after he’s accused of attacking a woman. The victim told police that 27 year old Malcolm Mayes broke into her apartment this week and punched her in the face. Mayes has an order of protection against him and is not allowed to contact the woman. He’s facing charges of domestic assault, burglary and endangering a child.
