JCMO parking prices will increase

The price to park in downtown Jefferson City is going up. Councilman approve hiking metered parking rate. Currently meters range from 25 cents an hour to a dollar. The city says rates could go up 10 – 25 cents. It’s the first rate hike since the early 2000’s.

JCMO Council will assist JCPD to get additional staff

The Jefferson City Council wants to help with recruiting for the Police Department. They passed a contract this week with a marketing firm to put together a plan to attract new officers. The Council also approved developing an internship program with Lincoln U law enforcement students with the JCPD.

Drug bust nets two near Fulton

Two people are charged with drug sales and possession after a Friday traffic stop in Callaway County. Deputies pulled over a car on Route Z near Fulton. A K-9 sniffed out a large amount of Fentanyl. Matthew Newcom and Tedra Mason are charged with drug trafficking and possession.
