Missouri running out of prison guards

(MissouriNet) — Missouri’s prison system has a possible record shortage of about 800 correctional officers. Department of Corrections Director Anne Precythe  Precythe says the agency has 16 new hiring initiatives for its 22 prisons and she hopes to go to the Legislature next year with ways to boost employee pay.
